Why this is important:
Agencies funded by federal and state tax dollars avoid costly litigation from clients dissatisfied with employment services. The Client Assistance Program saves state agencies money by advising agencies on systemic changes needed to accommodate persons with disabilities. The program also assists people with disabilities as they navigate through systems by training them to self-advocate and negotiate problems.

What we're doing about this:
Persons with disabilities who are experiencing difficulty in their relationships with agencies funded under the Rehabilitation Act, are provided negotiation and advocacy services as they seek employment. The additional services can prevent litigation that is costly and delays employment. Feedback from clients and agencies is evaluated and improvement plans are implemented.
