Why this is important:
Total funds is the best overall indicator of how the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division is doing and represents the total financial support that the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division gives to State and local governments.


What we're doing about this:
The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division maximizes the revenues it transfers to State and local governments by: providing the mixture of products wanted by Iowans; managing expenditures to the lowest possible level; collecting the correct amount of excise tax from Iowa's beer and wine wholesalers; and utilizing it's status as an Iowa Charter Agency to implement a variable liquor sales markup and invest in supplier discounted products.
